A 100 anni dal Manifesto del Surrealismo di André Breton, i progetti “Vacanze nel subconscio” e “Vacanza estiva surrealista” presentano un programma di Video-Arte incentrato sul tema del Surreale. Questo entusiasmante evento internazionale, denominato “Surrealist Summer Camp Los Angeles/Cologne”, rappresenta uno stimolante scambio tra spazio fisico e spazio virtuale. Proiettato virtualmente dal “The New Museum of Networked Art”.
L’evento ospiterà 200 video di 180 artisti provenienti da 50 paesi diversi. Le proiezioni fisiche avranno luogo presso il “TAM Torrance Art Museum” a Los Angeles, mentre quelle virtuali saranno accessibili tramite “The New Museum of Networked Art” online (Alphabet Art Centre/Cologne).

Il titolo del progetto espositivo “Vacanze nel subconscio” del TAM Museum, riprende l’influenza della psicoanalisi di Sigmund Freud nelle arti e nella filosofia del XX secolo, ed ha l’intenzione di mostrare una diversità di concetti artistici e l’uso della tecnologia come strumento di trasporto di idee surrealiste.
“CHICCHIRIA Poultry” di Ester Crocetta sarà proiettato durante la settimana del 5 al 9 settembre 2023. Il video si concentra sul tema dell’eccessivo consumo di carne animale e sul bisogno vitale di simbiosi con la natura.
diNel video, l’azione del razzolare si trasforma gradualmente in quella del volare. Da un pollaio si arriva sulla collina di Santa Caterina, in Contrada Cordano, a Loreto Aprutino. Da qui lo sguardo si allarga verso un ampio panorama collinare dell’entroterra pescarese. Una figura mascherata con un becco d’oca siede di fronte a un tavolo, evocando il concetto del cibo.
Le riprese e il montaggio di “CHICCHIRIA Poultry” sono di Jennifer Di Vincenzo, che ha catturato l’essenza surreale del video.
100 years after André Breton’s Manifesto of Surrealism, the projects “Vacations in the Subconscious” and “Surrealist Summer Camp Los Angeles/Cologne” present an Art video program focused on the theme of the Surreal. The videos, from 50 different countries, will be physically hosted by the “TAM Torrance Art Museum” Los Angeles, and virtually by the “The New Museum of Networked Art”. The project is an exchange between physical space (Los Angeles/TAM) and virtual space (Alphabet Art Centre/Cologne), and includes 200 videos of 180 artists, from 50 countries.

In the cycle of videos, which will begin on July 22, the video of CHICCHIRIA Poultry will be in the lineup from 5 to 9 September 2023.
The Video
The chicken coop is the beginning of the process that, from the action of raking on the ground, it comes to that of flying, comes to that of flying. The theme is the excessive consumption of animal meat and identification in the slaughter animal. Inside the chicken coop a feeder with rooster head, made for the installation site-specific, allows the animals to eat. The filming takes place in Santa Caterina, in Contrada Cordano di Loreto Aprutino, discovering the view of a large hilly panorama of the hinterland of Pescara. Sitting in front of a table evoking the concept of food, the masked figure with goose beak, transmutes and flies with its fake wings, those with which all poultry animals are still endowed.
